GERASIMOV Vladimir

Vladimir Gerasimov is a highly acclaimed still-life artist
and graphic artist from the Kyrgyz Republic. Born in 1947, he graduated from the Kyrgyz
State Art College and began exhibiting his works all over the world. He joined the
Artists' Union of the Kyrgyz Republic in 1976. He has displayed his art at solo
exhibitions in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic; Almaty, Kazakhstan; Minsk, Belarus; and Moscow
and St. Petersburg, Russia. He works have also toured New York, London, Paris, Berlin,
Moscow, and Tokyo as part of the international exhibition "Space or Human's Sake."
Vladimir's awards and honors are numerous. He received the silver medal at
"Quadrienappe 76" in Prague (1976), the Artists' Union first-degree diploma (1983,
1989), and recognition at Central Asian regional book design contests (1985, 1987). In
annual assessments, his works have often been considered among the top ten best in the
USSR and later, the CIS countries.
Vladimir's art can be seen at many museums and institutions, including the Kyrgyz
State Museum of Fine Art; the Tretyakov Gallery and the Architects' Union Museum in
Moscow, Russia; as well as private collections in the United Kingdom, Poland, Germany,
Austria, the Czech Republic, France, China, Japan, Turkey, USA, Canada, and Malaysia.
