Nastar
Mamai is a Kyrgyz artist who splits his time between the Kyrgyz Republic and Austria. He
was born in 1962 and graduated from the Kyrgyz State Art College in 1988. He earned
another degree at the National Institute of Cinematography in Moscow, Russia in 1993, and
currently he is studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, Austria. Nastar has been exhibiting his works
non-stop since 1986. He has participated in numerous solo and group shows in Bishkek,
Kyrgyz Republic; Moscow, Russia; Vienna and Gudmen, Austria; and Istanbul, Turkey.
Nastar's most recent solo exhibition, "Planeta Tengri" was held in Bishkek in 2002. |
