Dogdurbek
Nurgaziev is a prolific artist who has exhibited and sold his works around the world. Born
is 1955 in the Issyk-Kul region of the Kyrgyz Republic, Dogdurbek graduated from the
Kyrgyz State Art College in 1978. He went on to earn advanced degrees from the Surikov
Institute of Art in Moscow, Russia (1985) and the Academy of Art of the Kyrgyz Republic
(1997), where he has also been a lecturer since 1991. Since the mid-1980s, Dogdurbek has been
involved in many national, regional, and international exhibitions. Just some of them
include an exhibition of Kyrgyz artists that toured Malaysia, Germany, and Switzerland
(1997-1998), "Jiger" an international exhibition in Kazakhstan (1999), the 3000th
anniversary celebration of Osh (2000), an international exhibition in Iran (2000), an
exhibition for the International Year of Mountains (2002), and "Le paysage Kirghiz" in
Luxembourg (2002).
He has also displayed his works
in solo exhibitions in Bishkek (1995, 1998, 2000), Geneva, Switzerland (2000), and Dubai,
United Arab Emirates (2001).

at the Kyrgyz State Museum of Fine Art; the Gallery of the Palace of Nations in Geneva,
Switzerland; the State Museum of Arts in Georgia, USA; and in private collections
throughout the CIS, USA, Canada, Italy, France, and Japan. |
