ZOBEl  Michael

Michael Zobel is a German jewelry artist who was born in Morocco in 1942. Throughout the late 1950s and early 1960s, Michael served an apprenticeship while studying at the Goldschmiedeschule in Pforzheim, Germany. He went on to study Art and Design at the Kunst und Werkschule in Pforzheim. In 1965, he worked as a jewelry designer in Paris at Etablissements Henry Denys. Since 1968, Michael has been self-employed and in 1987, he joined the international jewelry designer group, "Aspects."

Michael has shown his works in more than 90 exhibitions worldwide, and has won many awards and accolades. He received prizes at the international competitions "The Gold Chain" and "Jewelry of the '90s" in Hanau, Germany (1982, 1989) and won first prize at "The Secret of the Tahitian Pearl" competition (1998). His brooch "Bird and Serpent" was acquisitioned by the Rosgartenmuseum Konstanz in 1986.
